The Welding Operator will be responsible for performing TIG and orbital welding on stainless steel (SS304 & SS316) components used in dairy processing equipment and pipelines. The role ensures compliance with food-grade welding standards, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.

Job Location: Project Site /Factory Site

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform TIG (GTAW) and orbital welding on stainless steel components.
2. Ensure compliance with ASME BPE, 3A Dairy Standards, and GMP regulations.
3. Conduct weld inspections and utilize NDT methods (DPT, RT) for quality verification.
4. Prepare, clean, and maintain welding surfaces to meet food-grade hygiene standards.
5. Operate, maintain, and calibrate welding equipment to ensure efficiency.
6. Follow ISO 22000, HACCP, and workplace safety protocols.
7. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to enhance welding processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education

1. ITI/Diploma in Welding or a related field.

Experience

1. Minimum 2+ years in TIG welding, preferably in the dairy, food, or pharmaceutical industry.

Technical Skills

1. Expertise in TIG welding, orbital welding, and sanitary welding.
2. Knowledge of stainless steel passivation and food-grade fabrication.
3. Familiarity with AWS, ASME welding codes and safety regulations.

Work Environment:

1. Manufacturing or fabrication unit with controlled hygiene conditions.

3. May require occasional travel to project sites or dairy processing plants.
